Sensory Blocks

The Sensory Tactile Blocks Set of 16 is an engaging sensory learning and early years resource designed to support observation, tactile exploration, construction and language development. Ideal for sensory rooms, SEN settings, nurseries, preschools and primary classrooms, these large sensory blocks combine natural wood with colourful interactive centres to create a fascinating hands-on learning experience.

The set contains 16 large rubberwood sensory blocks in 4 different shapes: square, rectangle, triangle and semicircle. Each shape follows a consistent colour system, helping children make connections between shape and colour. For example, squares are always red, regardless of the sensory material inside.

The sensory centres contain a variety of fascinating materials, including beads, transparent acrylic, coloured sand and water or glitter-filled pockets. Children can observe how the contents move, compare the different sensory effects and explore the blocks through sight, touch and sound.

The combination of the smooth wooden exterior and brightly coloured sensory centres provides numerous opportunities for educational play. Children can stack and arrange the blocks, identify shapes and colours, describe what they can see and feel, and explore how different materials behave.

The rectangular blocks measure approximately 140 x 70 x 40mm, making the pieces substantial and easy for young children to handle.
