The Snap le hUimhreacha – Numbers in Irish as Gaeilge is an engaging Irish language maths and number recognition card game designed to help children learn numbers 1–10 while developing Gaeilge vocabulary, counting and matching skills.

Ideal for primary schools, Gaeilge lessons, early years classrooms and home learning, this traditional Snap game makes number learning interactive and enjoyable.

The set contains 40 cards, with 4 cards for each number from 1 to 10. Each card features a number, its name in Irish and pictures of animals to help children count and connect the written number with its Gaeilge vocabulary.

Children can play in different ways. They can match numbers with the same Irish number word or match cards featuring the same animals, providing opportunities to practise number recognition, counting and visual matching.

There are 2 matching pairs for each number from 1 to 10.

The familiar Snap format encourages children to concentrate, recognise patterns quickly and take turns, while the Irish language content provides a natural way to build confidence using Gaeilge numbers and vocabulary through play.
