Exploration Light Tray

The Exploration Light Tray is a large, versatile creative learning resource designed to encourage sensory exploration, art activities and hands-on discovery in early years and primary settings. Ideal for classrooms, nurseries and home learning environments, this durable tray can be used indoors or outdoors for exploring light, colour, textures and creative techniques.

Made from clear polycarbonate, the tray offers exceptional strength and durability for everyday classroom use. Its rigid construction allows it to be filled with water, liquids or sensory materials while remaining easy to lift and move without bending or flexing.

Designed to work with the A3 Light Panel (code 73046), the tray can be placed over the light panel to create an illuminated exploration space. Children can experiment with patterns, drawing, painting and sensory materials such as tapioca, rice, semolina and lentils to create interesting textures and visual effects.

The tray is also ideal for activities involving inks, dyes and marbling, while the internal size comfortably accommodates an A3 sheet of paper for creative projects.
