CVC Builder Activity Cards

The CVC Builder Activity Cards are an engaging phonics resource designed to help children develop early reading, spelling and word-building skills through hands-on learning. Ideal for classrooms, literacy centres, intervention groups and home learning, these activity cards support the teaching of consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words in a structured and progressive way.

The set includes 48 illustrated CVC activity cards featuring pictures and colour-coded guides that help children build and sound out simple three-letter words. Learners follow a clear progression through three difficulty levels, helping to build confidence and phonics knowledge as they advance.

Children use the cards to practise segmenting, blending and spelling CVC words while strengthening phonemic awareness and early literacy skills. The cards are self-checking, with answers provided on the reverse, encouraging independent learning and self-correction.

Designed for use with CVC Tri-Blocks (sold separately), these cards provide a practical and engaging way to support synthetic phonics instruction and early reading development.
